The Telescope Feature was designed to clearly see what exactly happens on the child's screen by taking snapshots.
To activate the Telescope Feature on your devices, please, make sure that the Kidslox version on both of them (Parent and Child) is at least 7.8.0.
When a parent opens Kidslox and chooses the child's device, they see the Request Snapshot button. If the button is grey, it means that the device is not in use and the screenshot cannot be taken. If the button is blue and active, the parent can send a request to the child's device.
When the button is pressed on the parent's device, it becomes "Pending" and the 2 minutes 30 seconds countdown starts.
At the same moment the child's device receives a notification to start the screen broadcast. They have two options: to allow and to deny. If the child allows the broadcast, the first screenshot will be taken in 5 seconds and then every 5 minutes (time can be adjusted to 10, 15 or 30 minutes). If the child denies the request, the parent will receive a corresponding message instead of the screenshot.
If the child chooses to ignore the request, the parent will receive the corresponding message after the pending time expires.
Kidslox statistics will show 9 recently taken screenshots, to see all of them tap 'View All'.
We would like to mention, that there is a certain category of apps that do not let snapshots be taken (banking apps, Netflix, and similar streaming platforms). So Kidslox will not be able to capture them.
Screenshots are stored on our server for 14 days. Please, be assured that they are subject to our security policy and are not shared with third parties.

This article is incorrect, telescope can not be accessed through the parental dashboard board for a IOS device
Thank you for bringing this inconsistency in the article to our attention. Access to the Telescope feature for supervised iOS devices has been moved to the Statistics tab. So, navigate to Statistics and locate the "Request a snapshot" button in the Telescope section.
