How does location tracking technically work?

This article explains how location tracking works in Kidslox. It describes the technologies used to determine a device’s location and how location updates are collected and synced with the app.

 

 

To track a device’s location, our app uses GPS, Wi-Fi and cellular networks (3G/4G/5G).

Please, note that even if the Internet connection is disabled, the app will continue tracking the location. After the internet connection is restored, all data will be sent to our server and the tracking data will appear in the app.

On the Android platform, the app updates data every minute.
 

On the iOS platform, the app updates data when the location has changed by 100 meters.
