To install the Advanced features you will need a Mac (Catalina, Big Sur, and Monterey) or Windows (10, 11) device.
To install the Advanced Features onto the child's device, please follow the steps below:
1. Download and install Kidslox desktop app on the computer from advanced.kidslox.com
2. Open the app and mark all options green. Make sure you really have everything listed on the screen required to install Advanced features. In case it is so, tap Let’s start.
3. A screen with a QR code will appear.
4. Open Kidslox on your child’s device > tap on the QR code icon (upper right corner) > tap ‘Scan QR code’ button > camera will start > point the child’s device at the QR code on the computer screen. A welcome screen should appear. This way, the desktop app will be logged into your Kidslox account.
5. Enter your Kidslox PIN on the desktop Kidslox to access the app.
6. Click the child’s device (the one you wish to install the Advanced Features on) to initialize the setup process, and make sure all the steps are accomplished on the following screens.
7. Connect the child’s device to your desktop computer with a USB cable.
8. If you're using a Windows computer, please install iTunes by following the link https://support.apple.com/downloads/itunes.
9. Unlock the device and tap ‘Trust’ this computer. You will need to enter the device passcode.
10. Turn off ‘Find my iPhone/iPad’ feature in the Settings app (Apple ID > Find My > Find my iPhone/iPad > disable the feature with a toggle.
11. Wait for the progress bar to reach the end. The device will restart afterward. Press the home button and enter the device passcode.
12. On the final screen you will be asked to await final configuration from “Kidslox inc” which should not take more about a minute. Tap Next. The device will boot up, and the Advanced features should be up and running on the child's device
