On the 'Premium' plan (on devices with Advanced features) a kid won't be able to remove the app icon. It is protected by the childproofing option.
If your child has deleted the MDM profile from the device settings then Kidslox can no longer supervise the device. You will need to reinstall Kidslox onto your child’s device and click on the name of your child’s device within the app where it will be labeled “This device – Profile deleted”. This will redirect you through Safari to your device’s Settings where you can reinstall the MDM profile as you did before. Now Kidslox will have control over your child’s device once again.
Unfortunately, if your child has found out how to remove the profile, there is nothing technically stopping them from doing so again in the future. However, you can still effectively use Kidslox as part of an agreement with your child, it might sound like this: “you can use this device within the limits I set using Kidslox. If you try to bypass those limits by removing the profile, there will be a consequence (eg. device confiscation)”.
If your child has just deleted the Kidslox icon, restrictions set by Kidslox will still run and perform in the background, but Daily limits won't work. This means that you can still supervise the device remotely. If you want to be able to use Kidslox from the affected device (not remotely) and to have Daily limits, you’ll need to reinstall the app from the app store first.
To prevent this, we suggest setting native iOS restrictions that do not allow removing any apps. To apply the restrictions you need to do the following:
take a supervised device > go to the Settings > Screen Time (if it's not enabled yet, please tap 'Turn on Screen Time' button > choose Parent device) > Use Screen Time passcode > you'll need to enter the passcode and re-enter it to confirm > Content&Privacy Restrictions > enter a newly set passcode > iTunes&AppStore Purchases > Deleting Apps > Don't allow.
