1. Please check that the permission for Location tracking was given:
Go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services. Make sure that Location Services is on. (scroll down to find the app)
Precise Location should be ON (for devices that run iOS 14).
2. Verify that you have a cellular or Wi-Fi network connection. This allows the Assisted GPS (A-GPS) on the device to locate visible GPS satellites faster, in addition to providing initial location information using the Wi-Fi or cellular networks.
Please note that walls, vehicle roofs, tall buildings, mountains, and other obstructions can block line of sight to GPS satellites. When this occurs, your device will automatically use Wi-Fi or cellular networks to determine your position, until the GPS satellites are visible again.
3. Ensure the date, time, and time zone are correctly set on the device in Settings > General > Date & Time. If possible, use ‘Set Automatically’.
The map (inside the app) may show lines in places the child did not pass through. This is possible because of non-constant connection of the GPS (as explained above). Therefore, if the connection was lost for a while, it may draw a straight line from the last moment when the connection was good to the point when GPS or Internet was re-established.
4. Make sure that the device is not in Lock mode (location will work only when the device is in Child mode).
